Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e – 07

“Nothing is as Dangerous as an Ignorant Friend; A Wise Enemy is to be Preferred.

Like in every romantic comedy, theres always going to be a swimsuit episode and its finally here! Normally Im not a huge fan of these episodes because hey I dont really care how the girls are dressed and its often full of lovely full-length images and silly things about boys peeping on girls. This episode was a little more unique and I liked how it didnt seem like any other swimsuit episode. Theres a lot of in-your-face comedy thats very obvious, but theres a lot of subtly as well thats much smarter humor. Maybe its because Kiyotaka is also growing on me, I think of all his remarks as sarcasm now and it makes the show a lot more enjoyable. I simply need to stop taking him so seriously and assume that he’s kidding most of the time.

I found it really enjoyable to watch the boys try and set up cameras in the girls washroom. It was highly entertaining and not even in the funny way, but just seeing when and how theyd be caught. Considering that it was a very toned-down episode with less tension, I was surprised to see Class A and C show up again, not to mention Manabu jumping out of nowhere to stop any fighting. And just when the boys thought they were going to get away with it, Suzune pulls the plug on everything; and its all thanks to Kiyotaka again! Man, who wouldve thought this guy was thinking several steps ahead? Theyre really the ultimate team. They feign innocence and no one knows the wiser but theyre actually working together very well and both are much smarter than they appear (especially Kiyotaka). What a performance from Suzune too she just picked a fight with the rest of the school! Although I don’t think she said anything that anyone doesn’t already know.

While there wasn’t a ton of development in this episode, I thought of it as further development for Kiyotaka and Suzune. Not just as individuals but as a pair working together. Kiyotaka is clearly smart and thinks outside the box for many scenarios and somehow still has friends despite his aloofness and nonchalant attitude. On the other hand, Suzune is clearly on the outs in terms of being friends with her classmates and even though she doesn’t seem to mind, Kiyotaka is bringing her in. I loved the ending scene with the shot of their group photo. Everyone kind of has their place in the “clique” now but seeing them grow out of their comfort zone is what school is all about. I didn’t think Sakura would make it in but she does and so do all the boys. All I’m hoping for now is for them to show more of Kikyou and why her attitude is so 180.

This episode makes zero sense from a narrative standpoint. This class was just caught up in a major incident that threatened the expulsion of a classmate and a loss of points, so they decide to do something which if they get caught would result in even more people getting expelled and an even larger loss of points.Even if there was a master plan from the beginning to sabotage the actual peeking, if a single member of their little team had been caught then that’s it. The plan never should have gotten past the planning stages. It’s one thing if you’re going to squeeze in a service episode, but a pointless bikini episode is better than a pointless bikini episode that flys in the face of the story.

This episode’s a very loose adaptation of a side story from Vol 4.5 of the LNs (a sidestory collection). The pool segment and peeping was a very minor part, but made the main focus for the episode. Here’s the original:https://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=6127715&postcount=358The LN readers are screaming bloody murder at the changes and loose adaptation.

In a school that explicitly practices collective punishment, it takes a special kind of stupid, desperation or jerkiness to do pull a stunt like this. I know it was done for a comedy but the antics of those four boys could mean months with zero points for Class D if not even worse punishments. That Suzune did not extract swift, bloody vengeance after they had thwarted their plans. This time the plan failed due to Kiyotaka’s intervention. What happens next time if he does not discover their plot in time? Four students expelled at once? That would definitely tank any faint hope of Class D getting any promotion let alone to class A. Given Suzune’s motivation, I find it unlikely she would let that slide.

Agreed, it’s really weird that suzune can tolerate this level of stupidity, for a serious story I feel the plot really messed-up, a stalker employee, student council president that like to punch people, class c idiots lackey that prefer to be punched rather than transferred to another school.

Because that was changed from the original to be more dramatic.

Just as how Ayanokoji was a plant in the peeping team, I’m starting to suspect he’s also a plant in class D. Perhaps someone to get them out of trouble. He seems very proactive in dealing with his classmates’ flaws. Not something I’d expect from someone so indifferent.http://images.randomc.net/Youkoso%20Jitsuryoku%20Shijou%20Shugi%20no%20Kyoushitsu%20e/Youkoso%20Jitsuryoku%20Shijou%20Shugi%20no%20Kyoushitsu%20e%20-%2007%20-%2030.jpgI think she needed that. For the long term, that is. Something to chip the ice a little.

It actually pretty funny that girls like Suzune are girls while I find attractive do not favor them. HOwever, I think I found out why I like her, she only ACT toughs but is really easily flustered while girls of her same model type (Looking at you Yukino!) are naturally cold but suddenly they can melt slowly.Yes, I think shes a deconstructed version of an ice queen.
