AKB0048 – 08

(Sono Namae , Dare no Mono?)
"That name, to whom does it belong to?"

Succession dramas! Space battles! Death-flag trippin! AKB0048 just seems to get better with every passing week.

AKB0048 – 06 & 07

/ (Hajimete no Akushukai / Shuumei Kirara)
"Handshake Debut / Succession Kirara"

Episode 06 is the first AKB0048 episode I was truly drawn into, and not because of its usual pomp and flair. Following that up is a good dose of developments and revelations in episode 07. At this point, I have to say: I'm liking the direction the show is headed.

Tsuritama – 08 & 09

/ (Ureshikute Faiteingu / Shougeki no Andauota)
"Joyous Fighting / Striking Underwater"

The reveal of the Tsuritamas great mystery was rather underwhelming, but otherwise the show is on a roll as we enter the climax.

*For those of you following my AKB0048 posts, I have also included a short note explaining the delay.*

AKB0048 – 05

(Sorezoreno Kyuujitsu)
"Their Day Off"

Its disappointing to see AKB0048 doing nothing to change my standing opinion that theres nothing quite as boring as watching people doing jack on their day offs.

Tsuritama – 07

(Setsunakute Kauntodaun)
"Painful Countdown"

From a fairly mild opening to an intense familial throw-down at the close, this episode of Tsuritama shows just how well it can manage the emotional subtleties and peaks of its characters.

AKB0048 – 04

(Sono Doryoku Uragiranai)
"I Won't Let Down Their Efforts"

Id already decided on Taking a break from the combat? But-but-but, thats the best part of the show!! as this weeks excerpt. Why the heck then, did the episode have to actually go and be equally good!?

Tsuritama – 06

(Senritsu no Supurashu)
"Horrified Splash"

After a solid first half that packed some of the most brilliant character-building Ive seen in an anime, the show finally pushes on to give the plot some much needed development.
