GOSICK – 24 (END)

「死神の肩越しに永遠をみる」 (Shinigami no Katagoshi ni Eien o Miru)
"Looking at Eternity over the Grim Reaper's Shoulder"

This was a finale that played it straight. It quickly tied up all its remaining loose ends, set the stage for the timeskip, and ended it with the classic "and they lived happily ever after." After a little thought, I think that's satisfactory enough.

GOSICK – 23

「灰染めのチェスにチェックメイトを告げる」 (Hai-zome no Chesu ni Chekkumeito o Tsugeru)
"Call Checkmate on an Ash-Colored Chessboard"

Wow. That was rushed.

GOSICK – 22

「クリスマス・キャロルは窓辺の幸いを飾る」 (Kurisumasu Kyaroru wa Madobe no Saiwai o Kazaru)
"A Christmas Carol Decorates the Windowsill's Happiness"

The inevitable separation expected to occur last time unexpectedly occurs this week, with nary a mystery in sight.

GOSICK – 21

「聖夜の鐘は刻を追いたてる」 (Seiya no Kane wa Koku o Oitateru)
"The Bells of Christmas Eve Toll at the Heels of Time"

It was rather genius and slightly baffling that a part of the answer to the mystery had been shown to the audience for years as a play, and no one had any idea.

GOSICK – 20

「ファントムの幽霊に導かれる」 (Fantomu no Yūrei ni Michibika Reru)
"Guided by the Phantom's Ghost"

After what cruelty the Marquis proved he was capable of last week, I was thinking Victorique might be in some similar levels of pain herself, but everything went better than expected.

GOSICK – 19

「薔薇色の人生は新雪に埋もれる」 (Barairo no Jinsei wa Shinsetsu ni Uzumoreru)
"The Rose Colored Life is Buried Under Fresh Snow"

I have to say, this episode was pretty difficult to watch. If not just hearing the blood-curdling screams of Cordelia, but the implications of her situation was not exactly what I had in mind.

GOSICK – 18

(Shikkoku no Ressha wa Ikutsu ka no Uso o Hakobu)
"The Jet-Black Train Carries Several Lies"

Well, now that this whole arc has ended, I suppose it's time to gather the facts again before we head into the final few arcs. So after reviewing THE ENTIRE SERIES, I've attempted to piece together the "chaos" that is GOSICK, so hopefully this may prove enlightening.
