If Emily is still in the running to be Flit's future wife, the prospect doesn't look good with this "calm before the storm" episode where Flit spends two weeks frolicking around in the woods with Yurin.

I'll be quick to admit that I have a soft spot for prideful stubbornness that someone will take to their grave, but even then, Gundam AGE deserves some praise for getting an emotional response out of me with the deaths of some side characters.

After getting a glimpse of a UE mobile suit at Madorna's workshop last time, I'm still torn over whether I'd be happier if he actually turned out to be an accomplice.

I said back in episode one that Gundam AGE feels like it's brought back the franchise's "boyish charm" and this week's episode feels like it's done that to a certain degree.

For anyone coming off the latest episode of Gundam Unicorn, it's easy to draw parallels between the lingering hatred between the Earth Federation and Zeon to the hatred between Euba and Zalam, but it's also easy to see that AGE's variation lacks the seriousness and severity seen in the Universal Century timeline.

I've seen some quick Gundam deliveries when they're catapulted from a launch pad, but they pale in comparison to the instantaneous speed that Vargas can deliver a unit on the back of a truck.

In some ways, Gundam AGE continues to follow a somewhat predictable progression to establish Flit as the Gundam's pilot, but the introduction of "devil boy" Desil Galette (Takagaki Ayahi) manages to keep me guessing about the direction the series is headed.

For a "supposed" kid show, there sure is a lot of man-service in Gundam AGE. I must've missed the memo on how the latest Gundam isn't only for children. Oh wait, no I didn't.

If they had just told me that there was going to be a huge rocket attached to the other end of the colony core and that Bruzar was going to try and escape himself after detaching it, there really wouldn't have been anything for me to nitpick about last time. Believability on moving a massive mass in a short amount of time? Check. No needless throwaway death for the commander who adopted Flit? Check.
