"Declaration of Ambition"

Even though everyone's making it seem like Sairei no Hebi's return will bring catastrophe to the world, I found myself strangely siding with Yuuji. While I still don't agree with his decision to keep everyone in the dark, I thought that his goal of creating a mirror world where the Tomogara could live in peace and away from Flame Haze and normal humans alike, was very noble.

「狭間へと、狭間から」 (Hazamaeto, Hazamakara)
"To the Rift, From the Rift"

After a week long hiatus, Shana returns with an episode that starts the new season off right. A little bit of action, a little bit of story, and a whole lot of Shana x Yuuji action! However, I can see a few key points that might make you manga readers rip your hair out.

「誓いの言葉」 (Chikai no Kotoba)
"Oath"

It's only half way through the season but with two huge fights occurring concurrently with a third one between Shana and Yuuji just about to start, it almost felt like the end was near. Luckily, there's still a whole season left for things to get even crazier than they already have!

「聞こえる、想い」 (Kikoeru, Omoi)
"Affections Reach"

After episodes full of action and big battles, I was pleasantly surprised when the story decided to bring Margery back into the fray.

「交差点」 (Kousaten)
"Crossing"

I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record, but for the third week straight, this third and final installment of Shakugan no Shana delivered an excellent episode.

「星黎殿へ」 (Seireiden E)
"To Seireiden"

Things just keep getting better and better in this third and final season of Shakugan no Shana. Building on the momentum that last week's episode created, there was a good balance between story-telling and straight up action.

「開戦」 (Kaisen)
"The War Begins"

After weeks of dialogue heavy episodes and lack luster battle scenes, this episode finally kicks things up a notch. With a war of epic proportions breaking out, I was impressed with the scale that things are taking place on -- we're not talking about just Misaki City anymore, but the entire world.

「神門」 (Shinmon)
"God's Gate"

After getting a glimpse at what Keisaku had to deal with during his first outing to Outlaw, I was cautiously optimistic that Kazumi would also get the same treatment this week.

「掌にあるもの」 (Tenohira ni Arumono)
"In The Palm of their Hands"

I was expecting this episode to be subpar since it looked like there'd be no correlation with the over-arching story. Luckily, I was completely wrong as I watched one of the most enjoyable episodes since the start of the season.

「再会と、邂逅と」 (Saikaito, Kaikouto)
"Reunions and Chance Meetings"

After two weekends of being stuck out of state combined with exams eating what remaining time I had left, it feels nice to have a chance to finally catch up on these posts that I'm terribly, terribly behind on. So, let's begin this first of three double episode posts!
