It was probably due to being sleep deprived and delirious from staying up to blog about FMA and working on the Summer 2010 Preview for a few days straight, but this most recent episode of WORKING was absolutely hilarious to me.

Aoi breaking out the cosplay, Souta regretting his recent cross-dressing incident, Yachiyo pretending that Jun is the new Kyouko in her absence, and Nazuna going undercover at Wagnaria to find out what the deal is with her brother and Mahiru. How is that not "win" on every level?

There's pretty much an unwritten rule in anime to be suspicious of any character that can't be bothered to open their eyes most of the time, but it doesn't hurt to hear them out once in a while.

I think I should file a complaint to A-1 Pictures. For a series that revolves around a family restaurant almost entirely, it's highway robbery to have a hot spring episode and change up the scenery, only to leave out the actual bath scene!

Just when things were starting to feel too routine at Wagnaria, Otoo brings in Yamada Aoi in the nick of time to spice everything up.

While it's undeniable that Jun has his own melancholic struggles with Yachiyo on White Day, it still isn't quite as bad as what Souta has to put up with at home on a daily basis.

I'm still having a hard time liking Mahiru's character outside of her ability to give Hiroomi the punishment he deserves. There's really been little to no improvement in her androphobia as Souta can attest to.

As much as this episode was about Hiroomi and how he's a sly blackmailing machine underneath his cheery facade, some light was shed on the likely cause of Souta's mini complex -- his four sisters.

So it turns out Yachiyo has been carrying her katana around since she was a kid to help ward off bullies, but when even that wasn't enough, just leave it up to Kyouko to bring in the nail-bat to show those elementary school boys their place!
