Yumekui Merry – 12

(Muen)
"Nightmare"

You know, it might have been a good idea if all this information about Mistletainn was given last episode, perhaps somehow during the battle, a little flashback here and there. Maybe then when Mistletainn retreats, it wouldn't look like she had ADD.

Yumekui Merry – 10

(Yume Kara Samezuni)
"Not Waking from a Dream"

So hold on, remember when Merry destroyed a couple demons way back in the early episodics, and their vessels continued about their days? I'm not sure why I didn't think of this last week, but did J.C. Staff just contradict the main plotline with their own original material? Or at least, create some poorly thought out suspense?

Yumekui Merry – 08

(Yume Kair)
"Dream Corridor"

Yumekui Merry has everything, plot, movement, charming characters, and an end goal in sight. So why is it so bereft of excitement? Is it the subject matter? The problems raised? The plot itself? Just me?

Yumekui Merry – 07

(Yume to Mizugi to Umi no Iro)
"Dreams, Swimsuits and the Color of the Sea"

This wasn't nearly as fanservice oriented as I thought, and the show earns massive respect in that regard. Imagine that, actually using a beach episode to develop a main character.

Yumekui Merry – 06

() (Yume Kaik)
"Dream Encounter"

Now, pay attention here. We're going to have two separate boxes okay? Now take the cat girls and put them in your left box. I know it's hard, but put them in there, we'll get to them later. Yes, because today, the story makes a move.

Yumekui Merry – 04

(Yumekui Mer)
"Dreameater Merry"

"Why do you care? Why do you want to help me? Why am I so important to you?" Why oh why indeed. I know, how about, "because if I don't, there would be no story!" This works also, "because you're a girl!" Or "because my powers happen to help your goal, so why can't you just understand and stop being so effin' tsundere?" Yeah. That works.
